Something interesting came to my attention in November of 2010, I started seeing reports of massive animal die offs. These consisted of aquatic, land and air. The numbers were so large that I couldn’t help but start following this disturbing trend, when such large numbers of earth's life die off something is happening.

Those familiar with biblical end times will see this as a sign of the coming of Christ. I always assumed that the catastrophes listed in revelations would be caused by a single event, for example a third of the fish in the oceans would be caused by a single event. Scriptures seem to point to a single event would cause each one of the catastrophes in the bible, but whether it is a single event or multiple events that fulfills prophecy, prophecy is being fulfilled none the less.
As the tribulation begins we see that 1/3 of the creatures on earth die.

8And the second angel sounded, and as it were a great mountain burning with fire was cast into the sea: and the third part of the sea became blood;9And the third part of the creatures which were in the sea, and had life, died; and the third part of the ships were destroyed.

Could this refer to the Gulf oil disaster? We have no way to know how much of the oil contaminated the worlds oceans. We do know that the currents have spread this poison around the globe and we have not yet felt the consequences of it. Many say that the in the Gulf of Mexico, the ocean's floor has ruptured due to this event and is spewing oil into the worlds oceans uncontrollably, and will continue to do so for decades.
Or could it be something else or a combination of events?

Could this passage point to a radioactive event? The nuclear reactor in Russia was Chernobyl, this word means wormwood in Russian and the effects of the Russian event are still being felt world wide. Was that the beginning of the radiation fall out that covers the earth in poison?
Right now the nuclear reactors in Japan are melting down, there doesn't seem to be any way to stop them and Fukushima and the other reactors in Japan will rain radioactive particles down on the world for centuries to come. Radio active waste water is pouring into the ocean around Japan by the tons, the food we eat, the water we drink, the air we breath has become poisonous to life. We are already seeing radioactive poisoning in our drinking water, food, milk and air that we breath. The effects of this will be gradual for life on earth but will none the less kill off a great portion of the world in the years to come. Radioactive particles are considered "hot" particles could this be the fire that rains down on the earth, destroying land, fresh water, salt water environments. Are we already seeing the beginning of the prophecies that will eventually come together during the tribulation?
